Marina Watercraft Rental Policy: Reservations for watercraft rentals require a 50% deposit. Deposits are forfeited for non-arrival on the scheduled date. Full Refunds for rentals require a minimum of 14 days’ notice and are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit deposits. Sorry, no refunds will be given for early departure or inclement weather. ALL WATERCRAFT / LAND TOY RENTALS REQUIRE A DAMAGE HOLD ON A VALID CREDIT CARD UNTIL THE TIME OF RETURN FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE DURATION OF THE RENTAL. DAMAGE HOLDS VARY BASED UPON TYPE OF RENTAL.
NYS Law Requirements for Boater Safety: Governor Cuomo Signs Brianna’s Law to Strengthen Boater Safety:By 2025, NYS will Require all operators of Power Boats to take the Boaters Safety Course. A Five-Year Phase-in Applies to Motorized Watercraft State Parks to the Launch Boating Safety Promotional Campaign. The measure expands an earlier law signed by Governor Cuomo that requires boaters born after May 1, 1996, to complete a safety course before operating a motorized watercraft.NYS law requires a boater safety course as stated:
EFFECTIVE DATE: Born on or after Jan. 1, 1978 will need a boating safety certificate beginning in 2024. All motor boat operators regardless of age will need a boating safety certificate beginning in 2025.
