Position: Service Manager/Technician  

Location: Swan Bay Resort, Alexandria Bay, NY  

Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

The Service Manager/Technician will oversee the maintenance and repair of boats and RVs at our dedicated service center. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical skills and management capabilities to ensure that all service operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Service Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Boat and RV Service Center, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.

- Technical Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on boats and RVs, ensuring they are in top condition for our guests.

- Staff Supervision: Lead and supervise the service team, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.

- Customer Service: Interact with guests to address service-related issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.

- Safety Compliance: Ensure all service activities comply with safety regulations and resort policies.

- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Proven experience as a service manager or technician, preferably in a marine or RV setting.

- Skills: Strong mechanical and technical skills; experience with marine engines and RV systems is highly desirable.

- Management: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

- Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education: High School, GED or equivalent is preferred.

Position:

  • Year Round /Full-Time / Pay based upon experience

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, up to 40hrs/wk
  • Summer Season Schedule Mon-Sun (flexible)
  • Winter Off-Season Schedule: Mon-Fri (structured)
  • Day & Afternoon Shifts
  • Holidays & Weekends (when applicable, with holiday pay)

Location: Service Department

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • mechanical repair: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
